Use- This orthosis is designed for the treatment of sprains and early cast removal for fractures. Its cast like rigidity is perfect for immobilization without the weight and discomfort of a cast.

Humeral Sarmiento

Description- Plastic molded orthosis that covers the upper arm and often has an over the shoulder extension with a figure 8 strapping system.
Use- Worn for a humeral fracture. Worn for a non-union humerus The Humeral Sarmiemto works by hydrostatic pressure, and Gravity. Exerting a strong circumferential compression on the upper arm, forces the two ends of the fracture to meet in the proper alignment. Gravity helps by pulling the lower section of the fracture slightly away from the upper section to allow for bone growth.
The shoulder extension and figure 8 straps provides alignment control and helps prevent slippage.
